  • Who I Am

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and at 17, I moved to Miami to attend the University of Miami. Over the next 11 years, Miami became my second home—a place where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees and built many meaningful connections. Two and a half years ago, I took a leap of faith, sold my home, and drove to Houston, which has since become my new home. In my free time, I love experiencing and creating art through drawing, painting, rhythm skating, dancing, and singing.

  • What I Do

I strive to create a safe and empowering space for my clients, where healing and growth can flourish. My clients are individuals, couples, and families who are breaking generational cycles, navigating life’s challenges, and learning healthier ways to love themselves and others. I especially enjoy working with children and youth, LGBTQ+ clients, and BIPOC individuals, helping them feel seen, heard, and valued. My work often focuses on supporting those managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other forms of neurodivergence. Together, we’ll uncover strengths, foster resilience, and build meaningful strategies for a more balanced and fulfilling life.

  • Why I Do It

The world can be tough, and our experiences often shape how we see ourselves and what we believe we deserve. I do this work because I want to help people navigate life’s challenges and discover that, despite life’s hardships, I believe it’s possible to find moments of love, joy, and kindness. I’m committed to helping my clients uncover their strength and thrive in ways they might not yet imagine. The empathy I’ve learned to have for myself, I want to extend to others. I believe in the power of resilience, connection, and growth, and I’m honored to help people uncover their strength and embrace the lives they deserve

MY APPROACH

Selecting the right therapist is important and we know it. Here's a bit about my vibe.

Empathetic

I believe that healing begins with understanding. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued, meeting you with compassion and care at every step of your journey. I approach your experiences with genuine empathy and a deep commitment to your well-being.

Collaborative

Therapy is a partnership. I am here to work with you to set and achieve goals, provide support, guidance, and utilize tools to help you thrive. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths and develop strategies tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.

Holistic

I take a whole-person approach to therapy, recognizing the interconnectedness of your emotional, mental, and physical well-being. By considering the broader context and intersectionalities of your life—your relationships, environment, and identity—we’ll work to build a foundation for resilience and balance that honors every part of who you are.

Investment

Your investment is:
$90 for 45-52 minute sessions for individual sessions with adolescents (12+)
$125 for 53 minute sessions for individual sessions with adults.
$155 for 50-55 minute sessions for couples and family sessions.

Clients with Aetna and BCBS can use their benefits with me for individual therapy only.

I accept vouchers from The Loveland Foundation and National Queer Trans Therapists of Color Network and am a provider with the Bridging the Gap Foundation Bridge2Care program.

SPECIALTIES

I am qualified to counsel on a variety of challenges. Below are just a few areas I help clients with most.

LGBTQIA+ Concerns

LGBTQIA+ folks face some of the same difficulties as other folks but also have unique challenges best navigated with a therapist who gets it.

Attachment

Your childhood experiences, including your connection with your parents, can influence your relationships later in life. Therapy can help to heal old wounds that are emerging now.

Trauma & Personality Challenges

What we know about people diagnosed with personality disorders is that they usually have a history of trauma. Therapy can help you learn emotional regulation and other skills to have better relationships.

ADHD

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder impacts children, teens, and adults from various backgrounds. There's nothing wrong with you; your brain just works differently. Let's develop strategies for navigating a world that can be overstimulating.
